Bob Norton is a proven leader in the insurance industry with deep expertise in driving growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships. As Executive Chairman of Legacy Risk Solutions and President of Norton Agency Insurance, he leads organizations focused on delivering exceptional client value and market expansion. Bob is also the founder of several successful ventures, including RealProtect, The Nsure Network, CompareRates.com, and NAI Holdings.

A Georgia Tech graduate with a BS in Management, Bob has served in influential roles such as Chair of Georgia Agency Partners and Chairman of the IIAG Young Agents Committee and President of the Chattahoochee Country Club. He has completed advanced leadership programs with Fireman’s Fund and Travelers, as well as earning the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor in 1996 and continues to shape the industry through his participation on several Carrier advisory boards.

Passionate about community leadership, Bob has held numerous board positions and remains committed to fostering growth both professionally and locally. Bob is married to Amanda and is a father of 5 and grandfather to 6.

Jason Griffith serves as Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Risk Solutions, where he leads the organization’s vision, strategic direction, and operational excellence. Under his leadership, the company has experienced sixfold growth over the past five years, a testament to his ability to scale businesses through innovative strategies and foster collaboration across all levels of the organization.

With a strong foundation in sales and a proven track record of driving creative growth initiatives, Jason began his insurance career in 1997 following a successful tenure as a professional golfer. He joined Legacy Risk Solutions—formerly Norton Agency Insurance—15 years ago and has played a pivotal role in its transformation and sustained success.

Jason has previously served as District 2 Director for the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG) and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2001. He has participated on numerous company advisory committees and currently serves on the Frankenmuth Insurance Agency Council. He has also contributed to his community through coaching youth and high school sports in Gainesville, GA.

A graduate of Clemson University, Jason was an All-American and All-ACC collegiate golfer and an Academic All-American. He is married to Michele and is the proud father of three children. He has also contributed to his community through coaching youth and high school sports in Gainesville, GA.

Matt Wells serves as President of Legacy Risk Solutions, where he is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic vision and cultivating a people-first culture. Under his leadership, Legacy Risk Solutions is committed to delivering exceptional insurance and risk management solutions across the Southeast.

Matt began his insurance career in 2003 at TRC Insurance Services. In 2012, he rejoined PointeNorth Insurance Group after serving as a Commercial Lines Producer and executive at another Atlanta-based firm. Since returning, he has led the organization through over 800% growth, driven by organic sales and strategic partnerships.

In September 2024, Matt was named President of PointeNorth Insurance Group. Following its merger wtih Legacy Risk Solutions he assumed leadership of the combined organization.

A native of Atlanta, Matt earned his degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He lives north of Atlanta with his wife and two daughters.

Ash Mady serves as Chief Technology & Innovation Officer at Legacy Risk Solutions, where he leads the company’s technology strategy with a focus on artificial intelligence, data-driven decision making, cybersecurity, and responsible innovation. In this role, he oversees enterprise platforms, advanced analytics, information security, and the thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies that strengthen operational performance and create scalable, long-term business value.

Ash brings a unique combination of executive technology leadership, software engineering experience, and academic expertise. His career has spanned software engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, enterprise platforms, and applied innovation. After building a successful career in technology leadership, he earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems with Research focus on Cybersecurity, deepening his ability to connect technology, business strategy, research, and real-world organizational impact.

With a pragmatic approach to AI and digital transformation, Ash focuses on applying technology where it can produce measurable value while maintaining strong governance, security, and ethical standards. He partners closely with executive leadership and business teams to align technology investments with organizational strategy, operational resilience, and long-term growth. His work and research publications reflects a commitment to translating complex technologies into practical business solutions that improve efficiency, support innovation, and enhance both the customer and employee experience.

Michael Mellars is responsible for day-to-day operations of the agency and ensuring all systems, procedures, and people are aligned to meet agency goals. Michael has a B.S. in Business from Kennesaw State University. After 10 years with Pritchard & Jerden (now Sterling Seacrest Pritchard) as Commercial Lines Manager, Vice President of Operations, shareholder, and member of the board of directors, Michael is joining the Legacy Risk Solutions team as the Chief Operations Officer. Previously, Michael was also the Branch Manager for Southern States Insurance for over 10 years. Michael acquired his AAI designation in 2011. Michael sits on the executive committee for the IIAG as Past-President and is also the Past President of the Metro Alliance of Independent Insurance Agents. Michael is married with three daughters.

Eric Silver is the Chief Revenue Officer and a Principal at Legacy Risk Solutions. He focuses on strategically driving organic growth and maximizing revenue across all business units in the agency, while fostering relationships with clients and carrier partners.

Eric joined PointeNorth Insurance Group in 2018 after 6 years in production with Liberty Mutual. In addition to serving as a trusted risk advisor for his commercial and personal lines customers, he was named the firm’s first Director of Producer Development. Under his direction, the agency built one of the strongest Producer Development Programs in the Southeast, focusing on hiring, training, and developing the next generation of talent in the industry. In 2024, Eric was named Chief Revenue Officer and SVP, following his success in leading the producer group.

Eric attended the University of Georgia and studied Consumer Economics. Eric’s wife, Melissa, is a middle school teacher and together they have two daughters, Maya and Elise. When not at work, Eric can be found spending quality time with his family, cheering on the Dawgs, and playing golf.

Cheryl Major is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial reporting and accounting management.. Prior to her current role as Chief Financial Officer for Legacy Risk Solutions, she served as Controller for W. L. Norton Agency, Inc. and its various partnerships and subsidiaries.. Cheryl began her career as an auditor, after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oglethorpe University.

Todd Marks serves as Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Legacy Risk Solutions, where he leads the firm’s line-of-business divisions and oversees operations across eight geographic regions.

A graduate of the University of Georgia’s School of Risk Management, Todd brings more than 25 years of experience with several of the nation’s largest commercial insurers. He holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designations and previously served as a Director of Commercial Underwriting prior to joining Legacy in 2015.

Todd is a longtime resident of White County (GA). He is married with two daughters and is deeply committed to community service. His leadership roles include Past President of the White County Rotary Club and Past Chair of the White County Chamber of Commerce, the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center, and the White County Board of Elections. He currently serves as President of the South Enotah Child Advocacy Center and as a Director of the Cleveland Downtown Development Authority.

Zach Propes serves as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, where he collaborates closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to enhance organizational effectiveness, lead transformational initiatives, and translate long-term strategic objectives into actionable and measurable results. In this role, he is responsible for advancing enterprise-wide priorities that drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term organizational success.

A highly accomplished executive and transformational leader, Zach brings extensive experience in strategic planning, financial leadership, operational optimization, and organizational change management. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a proven ability to align vision, strategy, and execution to deliver meaningful business outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Zach earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of North Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Georgia.

Committed to serving his community, Zach has held numerous leadership positions within nonprofit organizations and civic groups. He currently serves as President of Good News Clinics and as President-Elect of the Gainesville Rotary Club, reflecting his dedication to community engagement and organizational leadership beyond the workplace.
Outside of his professional and civic commitments, Zach enjoys following college football, playing golf, and running. He is married and the proud father of one daughter.
