History
Prior to starting Legacy Risk Solutions, Ken R. Butler served as President of Crain, Langner & Co. Crain, Langner & Co. was one of the first independent risk management consulting firms, formed in 1939. Crain, Langner & Co. continues to serve as the risk management consultant to a wide range of public and privately owned companies and governmental entities throughout the Midwest.
In 1998, Mr. Butler recognized that privately owned companies were being acquired by both U.S. and foreign entities. These acquisitions created a concentration of wealth within the founding families that required special risk management services. The need for dedicated risk management resources was addressed by the formation of Legacy Risk Solutions, LLC.
Mr. Butler currently serves as the President of Legacy Risk Solutions, LLC. Daniel C. Buser now serves as President of Crain Langner & Co.
